Wheatley High School shines in DECA Competition held at Houston's Westin Galleria. Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) co-sponsors, Mr. Gerald Turner and Ms. Frances Yarbrough are thrilled that the Mighty, Mighty Wildcats of Wheatley produced three first place winners.
The winners are listed below:
Chelsea Malone - Business Services Marketing - Individual Event
Reva Menson - Buying and Merchandising - Team Event
Michael Sutton - Buying and Merchandising - Team Event
The students will have the opportunity to compete at State in Ft. Worth, Texas and possibly continue to the International competition against 100 countries in Louisville, Kentucky.
BPA Competition Produced Wildcat Winners
The 2010 Business Professionals of America (BPA) RLC Area 5 Regional Competition produced two shining stars from Wheatley High School. Eric Martin won first place in CISCO Competition and Xavier Wright won 4th place in the Network Administrator Competition. Congratulations to these two students. Eric will compete at the State Level. Hats off to their sponsor, Ms. Latitia Peyton.
